i think RPG games started by the introduction of the Playstation console. my very first RPG games that i've been played was Final Fantasy VIII, at first i felt bored by the long battle scenes and the endless walking of the character but then again as the story gone deeper i enjoyed more and more and soon find myself sitting on the couch for hours just to finish Disc 1. RPG games are really something that every gamer should look and enjoy more, the in-depth story, the cool outfits, and the characters itself. as far as i can remember the games that i've playe on the RPG genre are FF VIII,FF VII,FF IX,FF X,FF X-2,Chrono Cross, Wild Arms, Threads of Fate, what else dah..i can't recall the rest hahaha lol [rymebristol]
i love RPGs that are long and have a good story. i don't care if they are anime or not but they got to have a good gameplay, along with character building. some good ones that i have played are shining force 1 and 2 on sega, suikoden 1 and 2 on ps1, suikoden 3 and 5 on ps2, chrono cross on ps1, final fantasy x and final fantasy xii on ps2. i was playing final fantasy vii crisis core on the PSP but then i switched to jeanne d'arc, which i find more entertaining with its anime cutscenes. i think i am nearing to beat this game and then i'll go back to crisis core. I love playing RPG games too! Especially those created by square enix like the FF series. But my fave RPG series is the suikoden series! I even finish the game a couple of time to unlock every secret of the games. [byakurai]

RPGS are my favorite type of game!! [fit4lifein07]
I'm an RPG fan. JRPGs, PCRPGs, any RPG except those that aren't video games in nature (You know, those Dungeons and Dragons type). My very first introduction to RPGs was, well a Final Fantasy(it was Final Fantasy 6, as far as my memory can remember). For some strange act of fate I was playing SNES in our neighbor's house. They were playing Mario, and for some strange reasons I saw this weird game with a big chicken on it(Chocobos to those familiar with the game) and I was captured by it. I was amazed with the wide-scale journey map, and the battle scene. After that the next encounter for me is...hmm...Final Fantasy 8. Me and my brother were helping each other to finish the damn thing. After that I went on flying solo, playing FF8, FF9, and almost every JRPGs I see on the shelves. Chrono Cross, BoF III, BoFIV. Yeah. And then I also played PCRPG, with Fallout. SO there. [ishralene09]
I LOVE RPG's. They are my favorite type of games. I find them much more rewarding then other video games. You can spend hundreds of hours on a single game without replaying levels. Some of my favorite include any of the Final Fantasy games, Chrono Cross, and Chrono Trigger, Mario RPG, Tales of Vesperia, Blue Dragon, Mother, Earthbound, as well as many others! These are such great games... :) [annihilatethis]

I do. I have for years. My first RPG I played fully was Dragonwarrior. I even remember the commercial for it. When I saw the fantasy elements and the fact that you can explore towns/talk to people to gather information, I just had to have it. Then, I got into Wizardry, Faxanadu(action/rpg), Dragonwarrior sequels and, of course Final Fantasy. Most games I play are RPGs and that hasn't changed. [KaniaHara2010]
I remember my first RPG being Final Fantasy on the Nintendo when I was very young. I literally have a list a mile long of various RPGs I've played and have loved. For the Playstation 2 specifically I've been playing AR Tonelico as of late, and it's certainly interesting. It has the anime-style art with classic turn based battle. With the trend going towards grid based and action RPGs it's certainly nice to see a turn based game pop up. [Sealdorie]
I'm a fan of console RPG's since the first Playstation. Final Fantasy VII really defined the genre. Other notable titles besides the Final Fantasy series are Suikoden & Breath of fire series from CapCom. Persona & Shin Megami Tensie series from Atlus. Dragon Quest series. Shadow Hearts series. Wild Arms from SCEA. Tales of Destiny. ...and others... of course my fave is the Final Fantasy series! :) [TheDesertFox]
