Which Do You Prefer Xbox 360 Or Playstation 3

Personally i prefer the 360 as noted with the name haloman. I find that the 360 is a far better gaming experience even though there are fewer games availible for it. The only downside i find to the 360 is that there is no web browser and you have to pay for the online gaming you would figure a microsoft produce item would be free like the PS3 but I have no problem paying the $60 (Canadian) for the year subscription to enjoy great online play as found in Halo 3

i still prefer the ps3. The cost is expensive but it is worth it. Its a all in one console. Don't get me wrong, I own an 360 too. It basically the same as the ps3 but i usually have to fork up more money for stuff the ps3 can already do like, plug in play and charge.. [frozenimage]
xbox 360 i have both. I prefer xbox's games more. Gow2, halo 3, halo wars. [whereitgo]

I prefer the 360 over the PS3. Initially we bought a PS3 but it has never performed well for us. It could have simply been a dud. We decided to get a 360 and have been very satisfied with it. The user above does make a good point about the added expense for all of the add-ons. [MonkOVision]
Those are excellent ideas. [MonkOVision]

I bought both for my kids for christmas...the PS3 for my son and the Xbox 360 for my daughter. My kids love both! [crigal]
i have all the high def cables nad a 52 inch flat screen, the 360 graphics are phenominal, especially in halo [Haloman]

I think I already made my vote by buying a ps3, but the fact is, I want to be ready to play blu-ray if it becomes the norm. I liked LBP (Little Big Planet) and it was enough to help me from buyer's remorse if only for the fact that 360 preforms way better than PS3 as PS3 has not found the full potential use for their really good chip. PS3 also promises free online play, unlike Microsoft, who are money grubbing charging a lot for it. Definitely PS3. [enognis]
Regarding Blu-ray, with the way things have been going, I think it's more of a WHEN than an IF. Studios have already made the switch from HD to Blu-ray. Netflix has chosen Blu-ray as well. Also, I am with enognis on the Microsoft dollars. We have already spent a fortune on operating systems and MS Office packages. I am not keen on giving them any more money than I have to. Not to step on any toes, but to answer the question about a Blu-ray player being cheaper... Sure, you can find a basic Blu-ray player for less money than the PS3, but you can also find some that are more expensive. It depends on what you want in a player. [Hmmmmm]

While I have absolutely no experience with the Xbox, I have done my research and I have to say that I am pleased we went the route we did - and purchased the PS3. We actually purchased the PS3 BECAUSE of the the Blu-ray capabilities as well as some of the networking features. We haven't even done much with games other than downloading some of the free demos offered by Sony or their partners. We also purchased the Logitech keyboard for the PS3 so we can utilize the PC features of the PS3. Being the geeks that we are, we've had some fun playing with the PS3 as if it is a PC. We have also installed the PlayOn software, which allows us to view Hulu.com videos as well as most of the shows that air (or aired) on CBS (I did a Family Ties marathon a couple of weeks ago!). Then, with the Netflix partnership, we can view anything from our Watch Instantly queue through the PS3 as well. There are also partnerships with ESPN and CNN and Youtube that we haven't bothered to explore, only because we don't care (plus, we can already do what we want with the TiVo). rasp We also got a deal when we purchased the PS3. We were given a coupon for five free Blu-ray movies, which gave us a nice start to our collection. So, $60 Canadian? Out of curiosity, why are you paying in Canadian dollars if you live in the US? [Hmmmmm]
no actually i did not know that....yea it is weird about my profile eh lol [Haloman]

I prefer the Playstation 3 only because I really had much fun on the Playstation 2, and the consoles are very similar. I am not pleased over how much more attention the Xbox 360 is getting though. It has more games available than the PS3, more exclusive content, and games that appear on both consoles usually contain less bugs in the 360 version than ps3. [gohan2091]
true story my friend, true story...i wonder when the drop date will be [Haloman]

Xbox 360 because i think it just has an overall better online community and it encourages you to start partys and meet new people i also like that xbox has more English/american type games... ive noticed that the PS3 is more into japan oriented games [prickolee]
true, i believe sony is japanese based though which would explain that, xbox is microsoft so it's clearly American and will always have that american style behind it [Haloman]

360. Better controller, better games. [happykid007]
i agree 100% thanks for posting [Haloman]

Xbox 360 has best online gameplay and has really good xbox exclusive games like halo and gears of war. Ps3 has free online gameplay, can play music and browse internet, plays blu ray movies, and has ps3 home. [exodian1]
