...the remaining lives or do you start all over again? Are you kind of perfectionist that one mistake will make you restart the game?

I always like to break the record. So if I am playing a video game with a bad start, then I will quit and restart my game. Since I have started a bad starting, it's too difficult for me to break a record. I love China [youless]
Yeah same goes here. I like breaking my own record. So to be able to beat it, i need a good start to keep my momentum going. [modstar]
I usually restart mine too if I got off to a bad start. I feel like that session was jinxed and I have to start a new one so that I would get a better score. [scarletwitch12]
Haha, yeah i can relate. It's pretty frustrating to be contunuing the game with misses. [modstar]
I try to pull it off. Because if you can manage pulling off from a bad start, the satisfaction's enormous! But if I can't, I just restart it. And if there's some unlockables or something, if, for example, you don't die for hundred times, then yeah, I become a perfectionist, and restart and start all over. [Morpheus3000]
I like playing games, that's all. And if I can, I try to play it out at the first go. [Morpheus3000]
It depends on the game. Take a game like Gradius. I've practiced the game quite a bit and have never made it past the third level. Even now, I'll make a mistake on the first level. So, I'll just purposely die really quickly and then start over. I need to make sure I'm not tired and my eyes aren't strained when I play that game. Now, if it's an easier game like Super Mario Bros., I probably wouldn't start over. [Marcola]
Yeah i like Gradius too and it would suck big time if there's a miss the first few moments of the game. I've defeated the game but i'm not sure if i can still do it now. [modstar]
No I tried till last , I don't restart the game [moneymaya]
I restart my game. I would be disappointed with a bad start and i am not going to enjoy continuing the game, and it would distract me. Refreshing or re-starting the game will surely do the trick for me to play better and harder. wink [Ysabel]
Yeah, sometimes it's really frustrating to start with too many misses. [modstar]
It depends on the game. I don't like to think of myself as a quitter, so I will often play on and try to get to grips with things. But if I am going for a high score or something, then re-starting is sometimes the only option. :) [icequeen123]
Yeah like Pacman. I need to get high scores so i need at least 3 pacmans. If i get beaten by the ghost on the first stage, then it would be difficult for me to beat the high score. [modstar]
Usually I went on playing because I wanted to see how far I could go in a bad situation. Once I thought I was going to lose a Firestorm game (that was a few years back) but I persevered and eventually won the game. I am a perfectionist, in the sense that I prefer completing a task however difficult it may be. As long as there is some hope I would try to continue until it becomes impossible to do so. Even though I am old I do still play strategy based games whenever I had the time to do so. I believe such games help to keep the brain cells active. all the best, ninja rosdimy [rosdimy]
Yeah i did but it's quite confusing and pretty hard. The same thing goes with Stronghol Crusader. I don't even know what to do first in the game. [modstar]
well i dont like bad opening but i restart the game sometime i continue with that it depends on my mood [mittalroy07]
Odds are good that i will start over. Yes, I am a perfectionist, which is a sad task for me, because I am far from perfect. It depends on the game though. With tetris i will keep going until I have no hope left. [buttercookie]
Ah yeah, with Tetris, it's all a different game. Even if it's already filled up, there's always a way to get out of it. [modstar]
When I start a game, and if the game is not going right, what I will do is finish the game out, then I start the game over, and consentrate hard on the game and what I am doing, because I know when I do that, I will begin to win the game, you have to focus on what you are doing to come out with a good game.happy [notlistening2]
i do..... i dont like finish the game with no other life left in my character... i like to play the game with enormous number of lives and weapon ammos and even level... its just that i like to finish it flawlessly... [carinio98]
I usually will restart if I'm doing awful. It's better to have to repeat a few minutes of gameplay, rather than come to the near-end with no lives, and one mistake takes you back to the beginning anyway. I also enjoy getting the maximum number of points, or making sure I complete every challenge I can before going on. I leave no chest unopened. Also with games like guitar hero - sometimes if I miss a note halfway through a song I know I can get 100% on, I will restart and make an effort to get that note especially the next time :P I love to see 100% when I finished a song, with 800-note streak... No as a matter of fact I'm not. A game is just that a game. Start then finish and if you had a lot of fun good if not there is something wrong. start over. My little great niece is good about loosing and winning. But her cousin is one of those that if winning is always I'm winning and your not. If she starts to loose she stops playing the game. You have a good day your friend onlydia [onlydia]
well although it is always possible to recover and that is the most challenging thing . if you are playing well and won the first match and had a good start then you are full of confidence and that time a lot of things happen for you. but it is real Tough to win when you had bad start. that time if you can change things then you are a true fighter. [amitavroy]
I would just keep on going til all my lives are gone. But I have seen my son restart games because he dies and wants a perfect score kinda thing. [vicki2876]
Yes, im kinnda perfect person. So if i think it easy to finish the round, so i will try to not get hit. if i get hit, i will start the round again. I always want to finish game as perfect as i can [cahyorini]
Ah huh, same here. It's kind of frustrating. [modstar]
No!In the very start,if I happen to stuck with bad start,I like to restart the game again. It is very tense to continue playing with a bad start.Rather starting all new game is mind free.At least we are capable of reversing the game, which we can't do in real life.Cheers! [srganesh]
Yep well if it is the very start and I make a mistake which costs me, I'll restart the game. I figure that I won't waste time losing and I want to have as much of an advantage going into the game as I can. [rifat1337]
When I'm playing an action game like my favorite Push Push Penguin, I always restart the game when I go off to a bad start, like losing a life in the easy stages, or not completing all the bonus stars. But I'm only this way with this particular type of games. [mymelodake]
