So I have a 9 year old son that all he wants for Christmas is a Wii. And normally I would not spend that kind of money on my kids. But he has been a really good boy this year and is doing so well in school. So I decided to go ahead and get him a Wii for Christmas. So my Husband and I went out to buy him one and could not find one anywhere. We went to 4 diffrent stores and none of thme had any in stock. The game stop even told us they have not had any for year. What am I going to do? And buying them online is not an option because they cost almost twice as much online. So I dont know what to do as far as the Wii goes. Anyone else having a problem finding the Wii?

Best buy, Kmart, Circuit City, Toys R us, and Costco all have them. Just talk to someone and find out when the next shipment will be in if they will not reserve one for you then be there when the truck pulls in. Good luck!! [hazydazy]

Have you tried Amazon? they often have things cheaper than everywhere else it might be worth a look. There are other price comparison sites too that might be able to sell you one cheaper. [nancyrowina]

Have you tried ordering it online through ebgames or fye or circuit city, radioshack and other places like that? it might be easier this time round to order online if you can't find it in your local stores. Do you have a walmart where you live? [maddysmommy]
The best place to check is toysrus they get the most shipments of the wii. When it was release date last year i stood in line and got it. They had like 75% of all stock for release day. [babylizzie86]
We had trouble finding ours when we were looking back in November, but after checking all the stores and phoning them everyday finally one had some in. Since this discussion was posted so long ago, did you end up finding a Wii? I would have reccommended Best Buy, seeing as how I bought mine there around December 2nd by accident :P it was a christmas present to myself. [linkmasta]
