Hey, my son just got a Nintendo Wii as a Christmas present from us. He was praying so hard to receive this special gift for Christmas. It is more costly than PS2 but I think it is a cool device for gamers, both young and old. The graphics are not as defined comparing it with PS2 games, but I think it is more addicting to those who want to feel like they are playing the games themselves due to its controller which is sensor-enabled.
I just finished playing tennis with my kid and it was a neat treat for the two of us. Finally we get to play together in our room and yet feel like pros.
So have you tried Nintendo Wii? Do you think it is better than PS2? Please feel free to add your inputs here. Cheers!

Hello baruchaba I bet that your son is thrilled with his new Wii!! It is good to hear that the two of you get to play like that. I have played the Wii and the PS2. They each have their own good points. My brother has a Wii and it's a lot of fun to play because you get to involve your whole body. Enjoy the Wii and your son! [Transdisc]
Hi Transdisc, that's very true. The Wii is surely a fun and cool game console to play with as it involves your whole body. It's therapeutic actually for working people who don't have the time to work out in the gym. Thanks for your comments. [baruchaba]
Hey, I've played both ps2 and Wii and I can say that I had much more fun playing Wii. It's just addicting, can't stop playing. Especially if you have that "Wii Fit" accessory! If you ever buy that and get addicted, not my fault! :) just kidding. That's a cool Christmas present. Have fun playing it with you family! [lucas10odak]
Oh yes, I think that accessory is next in line for us. I am now as addicted to the game as my son after playing a couple of games with the console. And it's good exercise too for working people like me. Cheers! [baruchaba]
We have both a PS2 and a Wii. Although I don't play them, my boys prefer the Wii. [kellys3ps]
Yes, you are correct. Boys do prefer Wii. My son kept on telling me after playing games with it since Christmas day that it is the best gift ever, better than PS2 or psp. Cheers! [baruchaba]
We have a ps2. My husband and son would like a Wii but I think it is completely unnecessary. [melissaruth1]
Hi, I have a Wii and Wii sports and have just been bought the Fit package,I love the Wii as it is very active rather than just sitting in front of the screen, my daughter has an Xbox360 so she can play live games withothers and says the graphics are better and my sons friend has the PS2 which is great for some games like Indiana Jones because of the controller than the Wii. I do think it is all a matter of personal preference though. I would get the Wii everytime. Huggles. Ellie :D [ellie333]
I was lucky enough to win a Wii online through a quiz site and my daughter wanted to treat me to the Fit package as it is her first Christmas she has been working. I am the older generation and I like to have people round for a bowling night on the Wii etc, cheaper than a night out so hear what you are saying. Huggles. Ellie :D [ellie333]
i like the wii for my family and i like the playstation 2 for my self only, becuase im a RPG fan. The playstation 2 lets you play the old playstation 1 games and the wii allows you to play the gamecube games. i like them to be honest but right now sence i have a wii. i like the wii over all. i like the online play of call of duty 5 world at war its fun! [stevenfitz]
That's great stevenfitz. Would probably check out that game too soon. Best regards. [baruchaba]
I enjoy both of them but I think playing on the Wii is more fun because you get to do more and it has movement so you are active, better than just sitting on your butt lol [fit4lifein07]
I agree. Playing with the wii is more fun indeed. It is also a time for young and old to interact. Happy mylotting! [baruchaba]
Congratz to your son! Anyways, WII owns the PS2. :D It's a lot of fun and has great games. I have a wii and really enjoy playing it. It makes you feel like you're in the game! :) [devdevy]
You got that right devdevy. I enjoy the tennis game the most. When I play it with the wii, I feel like a pro, haha. Cheers! [baruchaba]
nintendo wii because it is newer than the ps2 and you can play backups without a modchip and without opening the wii. [psphacker]
very true. The wii is the best ever gaming console we had compared with the others in the gaming industry. Cheers! [baruchaba]
I would love to have a Wii because I know it involves more physical movement so you are not just sitting in a chair playing a game all day long. But it is expensive, then the added equipment you have to buy, then the games. They try and get you with every little cable by not including it with the main piece of equipment. My husband went out and bought a PlayStation 3 on Boxing Day. He bought one game for $60!!!! That is outrageous. The game is golf and my kids are not amused by this. They wanted a game that they want to play but he is convinced they will like it once they get to play it. Well, I took the girls out today and we went to Blockbuster and bought a used game for $20. It is soccer, which both my girls play in real life. But we had to buy another hand control for $60. My kids are 12 and 15 and I have prided myself in the fact that we never had a gaming system in our home but hubby has become addicted to his friend's golf game and since he bought a new big screen tv on Boxing Day because of the amazing price, he bought all this other stuff. We really can't afford any of it. So we is probably more interactive because my husband has been sitting on his butt playing golf all day! *sigh* And yes, he has got my 12 year old into it now.rolleyes [patgalca]
haha, maybe next time you could convince your hubby to buy the Wii as a Valentine's gift to you. Cheers! [baruchaba]
