hello gradyslady i grew up playing board games with my youngest brother. we had all of them, but i guess my favorite board game these days has to be Scrabble. over the summer time, my kids and i went to some good friends of ours house, they live out in the country and it takes about forty five minutes to get there from here, but anyways, my friend and i love to play Scrabble. lol. we have a Scrabble dictionary as well. and i have to keep on my toes when i play my friend, he likes to cheat and make-up words that isn't in the dictionary, (words you haven't even heard of before). lol. but i do have to admit that when my friend looses the game, he is a big sore looser. lol. have a wonderful day! Our favourite family games are scrabble and monopoly. My son loves monopoly, cos he always builds the most houses and hotels and wins!!!! [elemental69]
We love to play scrabble too, I got myself and my brother the latest scrabble dictionaries. My mom loves to make up words. [gradyslady]

I like to play Go. It is a traditional Chinese board game and it has a long history. [youless]
I've never heard of it before, I'll have to check it out. [gradyslady]

I don't play board games much, but I like playing billiards a lot.. That's my favorite sport of late.. I used to play board games like chess, carrom and Scotland Yard earlier when I was a kid, but stopped playing them as I grew up.. Also, my dad got busier, so I found it hard to find time to play them.... [Lifeless]
I have Scotland Yard! I loved that game. I also played 221B Baker Street. I still play board games though :) It is a family thing. [PersonalEnigma]

I love playing scrabble, boggle or skribAge. I also like playing Games of the Generals. Its a strategy game like a chess game but the pieces have military ranks hidden from the opposing players. The goal is to have the flag reach the opponent's side. [topei12]

I like lots of games. Most of the ones I like t hough are the ones that require a little brain power. One of my favs is Betrayal at the House on the Hill. It is different devery time you play because you lay out the board as you go and draw lots of random cards. There is also a point where one of the players becomes the adversary of the others. It is kind of dramatic. I also like trivia games, because I kick A## at those. I almost never lose a trivia game. [Wingedman]
Thank you for your response. [gradyslady]

i love playing trivia games and watching other people play trivia games like on the episode of friends when ross made up that little quiz haha that was hiliraious... but i love playing board games and card games as well like monopoly, jenga, and uno.. o h and guess who? is fun too ! =) [marian_o9]

From the very first moment I played Othello i just loved it! the concept is simple, the rules are simple but you have to be very strategic. I also love snakes and ladders, simple though it may seem just because it's fun! One of my biggest frustration though is that I know all the moves of chess characters but I can't play it. I am a bit of a gaming addict. I have all kinds of games. We play some of the traditional games, but mostly we play unusual games like Pirates of the Cursed Seas, Munchkin, World of Warcraft the board game, The Hobbit, etc. Our whole family gets invoved (even the baby - she likes to try to eat the cards etc *LOL*). Our collection is so big we don't honestly have room for it... It's worth it though :) [PersonalEnigma]

I enjoyed the classic games such as Monopoly, Candyland, Chutes and Ladders. I never played trivia games too much, it felt like alot of work. [chad252]
