I like to play online scrabble, but I prefer the email version where everyone gets to play on their own time. The version I like isn't working right now, so I've been playing 'live' against the computer.
I can win about half the time or better, depending on what level of play I put the 'bot' on. I decided to play with a live opponent and got my butt kicked in two different games by two different players already this morning. One of the games even timed out because I was going back and forth between the game and myLot - ouch!
They also have what they call a 'blitz' and I didn't have a clue how that worked so I basically stared at the playing board saying 'huh?' and I lost my shirt. I wonder if I'll be invited back?
I'm going back to play with the 'bot.
What sort of online games do you like to play? Do you multi-task while playing? Does you get beat up as badly as I did when you do?

I like playing word games. I really like scrabble. Other games I like are like bingo or slingo. I haven't played many games online lately tho. Been too busy with mylot and other things lol. Whenever my family gets together, we always get out some board games. I like any kind of game really but mostly games that make me think. I'm not very good at them but I try LOL. [lilcee]

I have not been able to play against the computer yet. I've been checking every day for the email version, and nothing yet. There are a lot of things on the site right now that aren't working, and I hope they get it together soon. Got my butt kicked bit time on the two live games I played, although me and the 'bot are becoming friends. [Ldyjarhead]
I don't play on line games any more. I tried it but always got slammed just like you did. I later learned that there are actually experts that play in the amateur section just so they can wip up on us rookies. I guess they get some kind of perverted thrill out of beating someone who knows not what they are doing. So I figured I can get beat up pretty badly without having to post it on line. So I just stopped playing on line. Maybe a little solitare occasionally but that is about it. [eeyore39]
With scrabble, there is a number beside your name that shows your ranking, so I guess you could just join a table with someone with a similar ranking. I don't really like the 'live' games, though. Too much pressure to play within a certain time frame. I like the email version since you just play your word when you get the email that it's your turn and that's it. [Ldyjarhead]
I play one of the games on Winster every morning. The prizes you can earn are mostly simple Amazon gift certificates, movie tickets, etc. But initially the first one is 500 points in Mypoints. It involves usually 4 other players and is very friendly as we help out each other get points. I found it addicting, but would not lose much sleep if I had to give it up. Also Prize Village has some fun games, but they are just for fun, you don't get anything for playing...just keeping your brain active. lol [nova1945]

i don't play any games now. i use to play double solitaire againist an oppenent & i loved it. they upgraded & my computer is so old it wouldn't upgrade. that's when i came to mylot so that keeps me busy now. i never did multi-task when i was plating. it's a fun game. i liked playing an oppenent. hope u get asked back. Hey LdyJ! I didn't know about scrabble online! I'm sure I'd get the dodo kicked out of me too! I have played online checkers quite a bit. Sometimes I win, sometimes not! I haven't played in a while. It got kind of boring after awhile. Checkers is checkers! But, if you get bored and you start not paying close enough attention then you can easily get beat! So where is it that you go to play scrabble? I'm not sure that I would dare. I definitely wouldn't try a human only a 'bot to start. Lately I'm forgetting how to spell and I don't know why! It used to be scrabulous.com but now it is lexulous.com (I believe that's how it is spelled). I decided I don't like the 'live' games with the real opponent - too much pressure! I do very well with the email version and the 'bot, though. Oh, and these games won't let you play a word that isn't a word. I LOVE that feature! You can put all sorts of real combinations and you'd be surprised at what it will accept as a word. [Ldyjarhead]

I don't playr any compute game. Some people get weird to know that. Well, others here are not like me. They play all kinds of games including scrabble. I tried the word games last weekend. However, I don't even know the rules. Shame on me [hiddenwing]

I like to play backgammon, different kinds of mahjong, jewel quest, solitaire. I love playing on Pogo, being a member there i still learn different games through the weekly challenges they have. Yes, i usually do checking my emails while playing a game. Sometime a would be through out of a game because i'm to late. LOL [Jody20]

I've been on yahoo games and played literati, its like scrabble and its pretty fun. I've played against people from all over the world. I've made some friends too that I keep and play against when I just want to veg out or have some fun. If I ever have trouble then I'll ask somebody what something means. [gitfiddleplayer]

I do like online games too Ldyjarhead but I never have played scrabble online though. I really like to play Mah-Jong. Lately, I have been playing some of the free games offered on MyPoints. I got into playing "Wheel of Fortune" when they had a special promotion going on last week when they allowed you to play 5 "Wheel of Fortune" games for free each day for the chance to win money. Of course, I did not win anything... didn't even come close but it was really fun and relaxing too. I find that playing games on the computer, whether online or offline, is real relaxing. It is a nice break from the hectic day of doing errands and chores around the house. Oh, and I do get my butt kicked a lot of the time too, but sometimes I win! If I try to multi-task then I can't play that well, at all. I can only do one thing at a time on comp. and here at home as well. I'm a little slow so that doesn't help and I have ADD. Caused by my meds. For epilspy. So I just do one thing at a time and hope for the best.lolAnd I find the best most day's if not I punt. Or fake it. I play at this site Winster and I either play the Slot Social or Spell Squad. Spelling is where you spin 12 letters and try to come up with words on it. You can trade with your neighbors, etc. I can get prizes for turning in points. I really like that site. Yes, I multi-task reading e-mails or doing surveys at the same time I am playing the games.
