I mean sure, that's what we wanted to do in the first place, end the game, but it's just really weird when it does happen.
It recently happened with me and my bro-in-law. Well we were playing God of War 2 for the ps2, and it was so much fun, we'd take turns playing since we only had one copy, and that was like our "quality time", and it was such an awesome game, that we wanted to keep playing and not let it end. But it did end, and much too soon for us. No worries, because we got God of War 1, we hadn't played that one, and that was even better than the second one, so we were happy again. But then that too, had to come to an end. And we weren't expecting the end to be that soon, well, after the last movie had played and we were sure that the game had ended, we just sat there in silence, not knowing what to do. What can we do? The game has ended, we could play it again with a different difficulty, but it's just not the same, you know what's going to happen. The others made fun of us, because they said, now we don't know what to do, ha ha.
Of course, after God of War, no games look that good, I did play Tomb Raider: anniversary and just finished it yesterday, I played that alone, my bro doesn't like that one. But now there's no games left to play, none that are good are out anyway, and the ones that are out, are out on the new consoles, which I don't have.
Ah, well, I'll get them soon. For now, I could just go back to the racing games, like need for speed, or midnight club or SSX, those are always fun and always there when nothing else is around.

Yes I totally agree with you. I am totally into video games. I remember when i played Diablo (long long time ago), it was soo hard, i could not end the final level, i tried for days and was really angry because of it... and then i finished it... a moment of joy!!! but what to do now... my favorite game has ended, i was feeling so empty lol :D... nowadays i do not have this kind of problems. i mostly play strategy games and when i finish the campaign scenario i can always play multilayer game with my friends and this always brings out new thrills. [alnilam]
Yeah, I wish I could go multiplayer online too. [vega83]
I am confused I am not a great video player but what do you mean it ends I have sports games to play and they never end ..yes you play a game and that game ends but then another day you play another game and keep going just like responding to mylot topics You may finish up all you want one day but next day there are hundreds of new topics If you have these two games God of War I and II are you allowed to play it once and then the game is no longer useable like the tape in Mission Impossible that disentegrated after he heard the message Good Luck [vmks31]
Well, trust me, I've played God of War 1 and 2 more than once. In fact I played God of War thrice, but the thing is you pretty much know what would happen. You want more, but not just to play but to discover also. Even sports games come to some form of end or the other, especially if you play in career mode, and the career mode is the most fun one anyway. It's not as challenging when you know what's gonna happen. [vega83]
I've never been much of a video game kind of girl. The only video game system I've ever owned was an Atari back in the day and I still have my old school Nintendo NES. My brother had a sega, which is actually at my house. He also had a playstation...the original. I was never very good at it. Once they moved up in the quality of games, the worse I ever got. so If I can ever actually BEAT a game I'm so freaking proud of myself because I suck at video games. [raychill]
ha ha, well, yeah, I've beaten a lot of games, and I usually beat them in under a week, but every time I do, I still get that proud feeling. [vega83]
Hahaha...Yes, it is...Is so funny , all you want to do is finish it and when you do, you think Oh no, what now !!!.. [Calais]
yeah, real awkward. You're just sitting there with the controller in your hand, and it sinks in after a while. [vega83]
once a time i'm swallowed in vedeo games, but now i know i have many things more important to do.so i haven't played it for a long time.i think you shouldn't addict to it.just play it when you have time, playing games is just a way to relax yourself [lanbeiliu]
Dude, I'm not addicted. I know it's just a way to relax for some people. For me, it's my favorite hobby, my vent, and at some times my passion too. Even if it is an addiction, it's better than being addicted to smoking, alcohol or drinks. [vega83]
I'm not very good at video games, so I've never gotten to where a game ended. I don't even know what that feels like. I play a lot of them with my son, but he is so good at them I always get frustrated. We play Nascar on PS2 a lot, and he wins every race. The only time he doesn't win is if I wreck him while he's trying to pass me. I can qualify for 1st starting position. He doesn't qualify at all so he is starting in the back for more of a challenge, but he still beats me. FRUSTRATING! Oh well. I'm glad my livelihood doesn't depend on my skill at video games. [DanaMark]
Ha ha, yeah. Well, let me tell you how it feels to beat a really nice, challenging video game. It's a bitter-sweet feeling, Sweet because you know you beat it and that's always a good feeling, and sort of bitter, because your relationship with that game is pretty much over. I mean, sure you can play it again but it just isn't the same. [vega83]
I'm not very good at video games so I haven't had that problem very often. I've finished a lot of the Mario games and Sonic The Hedgehog 1 and 2, but it took me ages. I also finished GTA on the Playstation One, but I had to enter a cheat I got from a book. So I suppose one way out of your problem would be to not be so good at games. Either that or play games that don't actually have an end. Luckily my favourite game is Tetris and there's no end to that. I once played one game of Tetris for about an hour and got about 3 million points. [crispeater]
Well, yeah, I mean I can still pick up any racing games, and play them over and over, but my favorite games happen to be those adventure ones or the horror ones, that have a story and an ending, sometimes more than one endings. Now if it has more endings then that's awesome, because you can play the game again with the same enthusiasm, sure the game play will be almost the same, but at least you got that different ending to look forward to. [vega83]
I hate playing games that the creators decide to pack in. Example would be the USM series. Ultimate Soccer Manager was the best management sim, yet didn't have the budget to promote it but they seem to not want to bring it back. (even though it has a die hard fan base) I don't really like finishing actual games because I like to continue. :( [joey_matthews]
Well, I love finishing games, and then re-finishing them if they have more than one ending. I usually play those adventure or horror genre games, which all have a story and inevitably an ending too. So, getting to the end is a real challenge. [vega83]
What really sucks is when it ends and the end movie or whatever is lame. I recall having a great time with the original Tomb Raider game and then got to the end and....nothing. [ArsonCuff]
Well I never played the original Tomb Raider, I did just finish the latest one, Tomb raider: anniversary, which is supposed to be exactly like that first one, and I'll agree with you on that, the ending was really unsatisfying. [vega83]
Hi Saba, yes there are some special games that if you get to finish them you are kind of sad, I would say specialy these games that have a great story line and you really get into them emocional. Then you want to start them over again but itīs not the same anymore as when playing them the first time. Itīs a little similar to watching real good movies, you wish them to never end... haha WOW.. I read you got to play the new Tomb Raider remake game, so how was it compared to the original one from the 90īs ? I say racing games are the games that always are good for playing them again, like the DTM race driver 3 is a game I not even completed a 100% but thatīs a great one to get in to. I donīt play games at the moment as Iīm not really in the mood for them right now, also itīs summer and I like more playing them in the autum & winter time. But last sunday after the F1 race at Nürburgring I had to put in the DTM 3 game and make a race on the Nürnburgring circuit.. hehe. Anyway I really feel as you when ending a great game... thatīs why I mostly donīt try to rush through them as I recognized that the nowadays games are somehow shorter then in earlier days. have a nice weekend Saba [Lewah69]
Yeah, those racing games can be real saviors in time when there's no new releases around. Well, yeah, you heard right. I did just finish TR: anniversary, well I hadn't played the first one, but at the end in the unlockables, I got to see the difference in graphics between the first one and this one, and wow, the difference was so great! It's amazing how far technology has come in just 10 years. The story as you know is exactly the same. And hey, I've noticed it too, that I tend to play more in winter than in summers, I wonder why that is.. [vega83]
Oh,your exactky right about that,i feel it everytime i finish a game. recently when i finished Hitman Blood MOney, in the end Agent 47 dies after playing 4 whole games as him and in the end his death really made feel very sad, as if i had lost someone very close. But luckily, for me the games also had a second ending for the plot inwhich he wakes up after a certain drug dose administered by his so-called killer turned saviour. [di1indilin]
Yeah, well in the ending I got he is revived, I remember the credits going by and we can hear his heart coming back to life, the flat line is not flat anymore, and he's almost about to wake up. That's the only ending I got, and I thought that was the only one. Of course, 47 can't just die like that. [vega83]
Yeah, very sad indeed :) I've played Kingdom Hearts 2 at legend mode every day untill now, I used to be stuck at last boss but today i finished him. I regret it ^^. The ending scene is so cool and beautiful and it makes me go around all day saying "Weesch, I wish KH3 comes out soon..." So now i dont know what to do, hmm...i could always play it one more time ! :) Conclusion; We (all gamers) play a game and when we get stuck, we get really pissed of and wish that we ever could beat the damn game, but when we have...we cry [Shareaza]
Yeah, you got that right, a little dramatical, but right. I seem to get less and less stuck these days, which makes finishing the game even faster. I guess it's because I've played so many games now and sequels and stuff have the same control and gameplay so it's easy to grasp. Plus after finishing God of War, every game seems to be easy. [vega83]
It is indeed. I am not that much of a 'gamer' but when Railroad Tycoon came out we played the darn thing till what time in the mornings. Then they discontinued the game and for years you couldn't get hold of it. Luckily it is available again on open source. [Anniedup]
Well, I never played that one, but I've heard good things about it. Well, good it came back for all its fans. [vega83]
I have never completed a game in my life even though I love playing video game so much. I tend to switch from game to game. But I still understand how it feels when your game ends. It's like it takes a while to find another good game to indulge yourself in it and sometimes not every game is good. I am playing Zelda on NDS now and I find it really cute and find at the same time. Sometimes it's too difficult to get to the next stage and I have to read the walkthrough. Still, I don't want to end it somehow, because I don't think there is one NDS game which is as good and as interesting as Zelda. [wondericequeen]
Well, yeah, Zelda for the Wii is one of the most popular games out on the wii. I really do want one, I'm not sure when I'll get it, but I really want to, I just wanna try out this new idea. [vega83]
