Frankly, I don't think I can have a strong will in this aspect. In the past I remember I played the Sims over night. It's still my favorite game. Now it has the Sims 2. This is a good game. But I am afraid I will be addicted to it. So I try to play it less. I dare not to spend long time on it like in the past since I know my will can be very weakwink

Everything in moderation my friend and it becomes acceptable and enjoyable, do it too much or find you just can't stop it then becomes an addiction. Providing you set yourself a specified time, use a stopwatch and once you have used the time then stop! Don't stop completely just allocate a reasonable amount of time. I play games late at night but I have a cut off period, for example I won't play past 1am and once the clock says 1am I force quit the application and go to bed. You have to be very self governing with yourself. It's a fine line between enjoyment and addiction. Gambling is the worst but seeing as you are only wasting time and not money it's not so much of a problem my friend. [wolfie34]

Hey thats ok. Its ok to be addicted to games .Maybe i am saying this becasue i myself am super addicted to like alot of game even at the age of 22. Well i like alot of games like Counter strike and Halo. I keep on playing them the entire day when i have nothing to do .Its a bit of relaxing and all that. Its really good to be like that. Games can relax you or even take out the tension in your head or even distract you from your worries. Thats why i keep on playing them whenever i feel alone or anything like that. I used to be like that when I was younger with games like bust a move and also some kind of fight games,I also had my counter strike period it was very exciting but in the end a lot of loss time. However today when I see how all the ps3 and xbox360 games looks I'd be happy to own of of their console and have fun on it but once again the price is not acceptable for me. I love games. I like play station and pc games. I loved the sims 2, played them for some time ago almost every hour of every day when I was not working. Hi youless, Of course it is. Games, good ones, are supposed to be entertaining and people are supposed to get hooked. If they don't, the game developers have failed! I have got addicted to games too... days, months, years... I quite like Sim too but not enough to consider it my favorite. I am currently back to playing Railroad Tycoon. Well I started only yesterday and I may play a bit later. I had a game and it was fun after such a long break. I managed to take over 2 railroad companies and retire with 6mil$. I thought I did well and was very happy but I was surprised that I didn't even manage to get into the Hall of Fame - apparently I had done even better last time and clocked higher scores. Don't say you are weak. There is nothing wrong if you want to relax and enjoy yourself. Hello....the znswer is nope. I am not easily addicted to games. I have added the application Transformers and Battle Pets in my facebook account and have played it for just a while and got bored with it. And then my sister recommended me a shooting game called Those Damn birds...I also played it for a while only and then got bored. But the game was fun and once in a while I will play it because I hate pigeons. The noise they make is very irritating and they just poo poo on the balcony. If I have a real gun I will shoot them. ehehhehelol...but then nope...I don't get addicted to it. [eagle_f15]

Yes it is very easy for me to get addicted to a game. Especially those that you compete against a clock or someone else. I am very competetive and am always trying to improve my best score or bet the other person. I like word cames like bookworm, scrabble and the like. I can also get really addicted to things like solitare, bejeweled and that sort as well. I have sat down just to play once or twice and find myself there an hour later still playing. [jmhall]

I do not have a strong will at time when it comes to video games and I have a bad habit of getting addicted to them,one of my favorite games is Splinter Cell Double Agent and I could sit and play that game for hours,and one night I spent nine hours playing it without any breaks,and now I am playing Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance and I am addicted to it,and I can hardly keep myself from playing it,even though I know me and my fiance have a lot of stuff we need to do. I have played EQ1, WoW, and EQ2 with various other games in between. I don't think you can get more addictive than the MMORPG type games once you get into them you are hooked long term. [banadux]

I can get addicted to games. It tends to be strategy games like Age of Empires, Anno, the whole Sims business. I only would say I get addicted is because these game require your attention to be able to complete, unlike most console games where you can stop and start when you like (GTA, gran turismo, mario & sonic at the olympics lol) Im currently playing/addicted to an online game called ikariam where you build up your cities/empire. It's played in real time meaning you check back every hr or two to check how your buildings/empire/trade/war is going lol. Perfect at work to kill some time. [joshua85]

I guess I would be. Otherwise, I would be happily playing the games long long time ago. There are so many games in the market now. One can never finish playing them all. In fact, kids now a days can play the games better than I do. I can be so engrossed, I will not do anything else except to play the game till I complete all the stages. Very bad habit.
