So far so good, I have never experienced it. However, I did have to go through 6 xbox360's to get one that actually worked right off the bat. Six!!! [ideaguy]
Well atleast you didnt spend hundreds of dollar like I did to finally get a decent Xbox 360.. sigh.. I swear every time I turn on my Xbox 360 I am praying to god to let me make it through the game that it doesnt freeze up or crash on me with the Ring Of Death.. lol [smsky2009]
I have never had it, but mine does freeze up alot, and I have a cooler and everything else for it. I just don't know why it is doing that. Other than that I am very happy with my 360 [thegreatdebater]
I would recommend taking the cooler off. all it does is use more of your PS and cause your xbox to Red Ring again [proXace]

Yup, everyone who has owned a 360 has experienced alot of hardware problems.. I am not a fan of either but comparing the hardware systems, the ps3 has never gave me any errors and problems till this day. [smsky2009]
Never! i'm happy. i think its because i got about a year ago so they probably fixed most of the problems that caused the ring by then. a friend of mine had his for over 2 years before it happened to him. [Henri_Clemens]
LOL. I just got mine back from microsoft a few weeks ago because of the red ring of death. I've had it twice already. My boyfriend had it 3 times on his 360, and most of my friends have had it at least 2 or 3 times. It's a horrible thing to go through but I still love xbox more than the playstation. [jenlex79]
I wouldn't put you down just because you have a ps3. lol. I can't wait for Modern warfare 2 either. I'm a Halo fan so I also have Halo 3:ODST. The first time I got the red ring of death, I turned on my 360 and wrapped it in 3 towels and left it on for 20 to 30 minutes. After that, I shut it off and turned it back on and it worked for a while but it eventually stopped. That trick didn't work the second time I got the red ring of death though. [jenlex79]
It has only flashed 3 red lights once and when I saw that I quickly turned it off. I don't know what that means but it still works. I also don't play games more than two hours or so. If it does die I will be mad. My brother has gone through lots of xbox's and playstations back in the day and I hope not to have the same thing happen. [vivrenpar]
mine still doing good ive had it since dec. 08. My friend got it though but he couldnt get a new one because he bought his xbox from a friend. Now i kinda wish i had a Ps3 even though xbox rules. i had the ring of death once since i first used it in 2007 it was an absolute pain took it back since it was in guarantee and had it fixed and im able to play my games :) no problems since. Also out of the question i have also broke to headsets XD [Bryanx54]
lol 5. 5+ and more. luckily for me i work for a console modification and repairs company so i can repair them myself. last christmas i had to fix over 200 console that red ringed and had no waranty. i've even had a console banned from live because it was modded. now if you have seen the pic i upload in this thread you will see that i have done a custom xbox 360 so i will NEVER get red rings again. I included so much more internal cooling and had a temperature monitor in it [proXace]
