Okay guys you are up at bat. It seems like everytime I play G.R.A.W online I get the same questions or reactions from guys. "Are you a girl? How do you know how to play so well?" or my favorite of all time "You play video games??!!"
So tell me is there something wrong with a girl wanting to sit down and play some Madden 08, NBA Live 08, or any video game at all and actually be good at it??

I am a girl, and when i have time i play video games, I can't say that i am the greatest at them, because i dont have a lot of time to practice! but i used to be fairly well at UT, and battlefield vietnam! on pc, i could keep up with my guy friends, and we used to have lan parties and play and drink. *giggles* i was just one of the guys playing games. but now i have a kid, an one on the way, i dont have a whole lot of uninterupted time to play. Like i can mylot, cause if she needs something or wants attention, i can just stop and come back to it, but if i'm playing a game, its kind of hard to stop every 5-10 mins and keep up with the game! The only game i've been playign lately is guitar hero, and not even playing that often :/ [Sissygrl]

*laughs* I get these same kinds of reactions on games when I say that I am female. It's just crazy how much people cling to the stereotype that only guys play games, or at least that only guys are good at them. There are several video games I have been very good at over the years, and it just cracks me up how surprised people act. I've even been accused of lying about my gender fairly often because people refused to accept that they were beaten by a girl. It's even funnier when I let people know that I'm married and have a child, because an adult female playing a video game is somehow even more preposterous than a girl playing! :P [lecanis]

When I played football with guys when I was younger, I got tackled. I wouldn't want to be treated specially because of my gender in a game like that, because it's discrimination just as bad as not being allowed to play! [lecanis]
I love playing video games with my boyfriend! Whenever we play a really good game of Madden '08 against each other he tells me that he loves me even more now! haha I think most guys either think it's hot or get really competitive about it because they don't want to be beat by a girl! [chelsea0023]

Yeah, I think it's pretty cool that you play video games. It shows your open to new things. I guess there's a stereotype that girls think video games are dumb, too challenging and pretty much boy stuff. If you like playing video games, you're ok in my book! Keep on rocking! [Marcola]
I think it won't be problem to play with our friends either boys or girls and it doesn't matter and we can get more fun with them and why don't we play games with anyone and i am not girl and i can play games either boy or girl. [Dasari100]
